Again, it's the time of the year when all the youths of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception will meet, share and praise the Lord in a camping setting. So what are you waiting for, come join us!

R E G I S T R A T I O N

We have barely less than 1 month before the awaited 4th  Parish wide Summer Youth Camp scheduled April 15, 20, 21 and 22. The Secretariat for SYC ‘07 will appreciate your punctual response especially with REGISTRATION Requirements.

 

WHO CAN JOIN? All bonafide members of PCY and those who will be members until the cut-off date of registrations. In short, anyone can join the camp as long as he/she is willing to share talents and ideas.

 

Registration will start on March 3 until March 17. Application Forms will be available on all SPCY/Youth Organization’s Presidents and Secretaries. All accomplished forms shall be submitted TO Kuya Jayson Latube BY respective SPCY/Youth Organization’s head on March 18, Third Sunday 1:00 PM at the Parish. All forms (personal data sheet and summary list) shall be placed in a short brown envelope with the name of the SPCY/Youth Organization in front. Please make sure that all items on data sheet are completely answered.

 

Failure to register on or before March 18 will mean non-participation at the SYC’07. No late registrants will be entertained after the set deadlines. Official List of Participants will be posted at the PCY Bulletin Board on March 25, Sunday after reviewing all data sheets by the organizing committee.

 

The Official List of Participants will be final and irrevocable.

Ø        To develop bonding among members of PCY & SPCY

 

A C T I V I T I E S

Campers will participate in a variety of activities designed to make their stay at the camp fun, fruitful and memorable. We hope that it will also be a life-changing experience.Awesome Worship Services, Music, Volleyball and other sports, Lifetime Friendships, Lifetime, Memories, Caring Christian Staff , Skits, Drama and talents showcase. Activities are designed and inter-related to one another. Because of time constraint, every minute…every seconds count. A well-balanced schedule is prepared. Punctuality is expected to be contributed by everyone.

SYC’07 POLICY

 

1.   ACTIVITIES - We offer a variety of recreational, cultural, and spiritual exercises to develop the person into the total person God wants him to be.

 

2.   ADMISSION POLICY - SYC is open to all who are willing to maintain the camp's Christian standard. We do not discriminate against any person. It is open to all youth of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception. For youths of other parishes, a letter of endorsement from the Parish Priest or PCY Spiritual director shall be a requirement. All applicants will also be required of the Parent’s Waiver certifying he/she is allowed to attend the SYC’07. An application form should also be accomplished and a 1x1 photo is required. Forms will be available at the Secretariat.

 

3.   ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIME - On the day designated for the beginning of camp, you should arrive individually or in group on the SITE between 6:00 and 7:00 AM April 20, Friday.  The camp ends on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM with a closing program and awards ceremony.  Someone should be present to pick you up at that time. A Youth Mass celebration then will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church in Poblacion at 6:00 in the evening.

 

 

4.   TELEPHONE CALLS - Campers are not permitted to make or receive phone calls while at Summer Youth Camp.   In the event of an emergency, parents may speak to the director to have the message relayed. They may contact Melvin Roxas at 0919-467-6375 (Smart) or 0917-500-0381 (Globe) or their respective spcy/youth organization head.

 

5.   SOLIDARITY FEES – A contribution of Php 100.00 per head/youth will be collected as you file the registration form. The solidarity fee will shoulder expenses camp expenditures. Contributions per group can be handed to the Finance committee headed by Catherine Mauricio . All payments will be issued receipts for records purposes. Payments may be in installment basis in a 50/50 scheme. An applicant youth shall be considered as an official delegate only if he/she filled-up the registration form, submitted documents and paid at-least 50% of the solidarity fee.

 

 

6.   VISITORS - Summer Youth Camp maintains a very active schedule.  Experiences have taught us that campers are happiest when they are involved in meaningful activity.  Therefore, off site visitors are discouraged.  When a visitor does come on site, he must immediately check in with the Camp Director or Program Director to secure a visitors pass.  All visitors must obey all camp rules and leave before lights out.  Overnight visitors are not permitted with out Camp Director’s prior approval.

 

7.   PLEASE DO NOT BRING - cell phones or any other electronic devices other than radio or cd players, any form of tobacco and cigarette. Drugs or medicines except as noted on the application. Questionable reading materials or clothing with offensive imprints.

8.   WHAT TO BRING - Sheets, pillow, blanket, toilet articles, prescribed medicines, towels & wash clothes, pajamas & jacket, casual clothing (knee length), Bible or testament, sneakers,  rosary, camera, paper & pen, flashlight. There will be no Laundry schedule, so be sure to bring enough for 3 days!!
